Position Title: Operating Room (OR) Technologist / Surgical Technologist

Job Summary:
The OR Technologist (Surgical Technologist) assists surgeons and the surgical team before, during, and after operative procedures. This role ensures a sterile environment, prepares surgical instruments, and supports safe and efficient surgical operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare operating rooms with necessary instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies
Ensure proper sterilization and infection control standards
Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
Anticipate surgical team needs to maintain workflow efficiency
Handle specimens according to hospital protocols
Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts with nursing staff
Clean and restock operating rooms after procedures
Maintain accurate documentation as required

Required Qualifications:

Certification as Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
Completion of accredited Surgical Technology program
BLS certification
Knowledge of surgical procedures and instrumentation
Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills

Preferred Skills:

Experience in multiple surgical specialties
Knowledge of aseptic techniques
Equipment troubleshooting
Ability to work in fast-paced environments
