"ob Title: Registered Nurse Nursery

Are you an experienced RN with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care? Berwick Health is seeking a skilled RN Nursery Level 2 to join our team on a contract basis for day shifts. As an RN in our Nursery and Post-Partum department, you will oversee daily patient flow, triage patient requests for services, and deliver patient education to promote wellness. You'll also administer medications, perform treatments, and assist in procedures while adhering to patient safety guidelines.

Responsibilities:

Optimize patient care, safety, and satisfaction

Triage incoming patient requests for services

Deliver patient education to facilitate plan of care and promote wellness

Delegate care appropriately and according to Colorado statute

Assess patients and prioritize critical thinking skills

Handle high telephone volume of patient requests for medications, information, and assistance

Administer medications, perform treatments, and assist in procedures while adhering to patient safety guidelines

Coordinate patient care with other physician practices, Vail Health, and others as needed

Work independently with minimal supervision

Utilize Relationship-Based Care to advocate for safety, patient preferences, and optimal communication with patients and families

Model the principals of a Just Culture and Organizational Values

Requirements:

One year of clinical experience

Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Colorado or from a valid compact state

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification

Ability to obtain necessary computer skills within 90 days

Associate Nursing Degree

Physical Demands:

Physical activity includes sitting, standing, walking, squatting, bending, twisting, lifting, and kneeling

Sensory requirements include lifting up to 35 lbs frequently
