Job Title: Pathology Assistant

📌 Job Summary

The Pathology Assistant supports pathologists in the examination and diagnosis of tissue samples. This role involves preparing specimens, assisting in autopsies and surgical pathology procedures, and ensuring accurate documentation and laboratory operations.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

• Assist pathologists in gross examination of surgical specimens
• Prepare, dissect, and process tissue samples for analysis
• Perform autopsy assistance including organ dissection and documentation
• Ensure proper labeling, storage, and handling of specimens
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards
• Document findings and maintain accurate records
• Coordinate with laboratory staff and healthcare teams
• Follow infection control and biohazard safety protocols

🎓 Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Pathology, Biology, or related field
• Pathology Assistant certification (preferred)
• Knowledge of laboratory procedures and medical terminology

💼 Experience Required

• 1–3+ years of experience in pathology or laboratory setting (preferred)
