"Job Title: Registered Nurse Med Surg in Chariton, Iowa

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Med Surg team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of acute care experience, BLS certification, and a current Iowa RN licensure. ACLS certification is preferred.

As a Registered Nurse on the Med Surg team, you will provide direct patient care, plan and evaluate total nursing care for Med-Surg patients as directed, and relate effectively with other shifts for continuity of care. You will also maintain satisfactory relations with other departments to ensure the best possible nursing care.

Essential functions of the role include maintaining confidentiality, displaying a high standard of courtesy and cooperation, and incorporating our mission, vision, and core values into the department. You must also wear appropriate apparel for the position and display a nametag upon such apparel.

The ideal candidate will be resourceful and calm in emergencies and will keep physicians, nurses, and other staff informed of patient needs and problems on the unit as necessary. You must be able to prioritize workload, perform documentation in the patient record accurately, and demonstrate effective communication skills.
