Job Title: Registered Nurse, ICU (Intensive Care)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic ICU team. As an ICU nurse, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care to individuals requiring intensive care services. You will assess and monitor patients' conditions, administer medications, implement treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' conditions and establish individualized care plans.

2. Monitor and interpret patients' vital signs, detect changes, and take appropriate actions.

3. Administer medications, treatments, and interventions following established protocols or medical orders.

4. Operate and maintain life-support equipment and monitors to ensure accurate and continuous patient monitoring.

5. Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate and optimize patient care.

6. Educate patients and their families about the treatment plan, potential risks, and ways to promote recovery.

7. Respond promptly to emergent situations and provide life-saving interventions as needed.

8. Accurately document patient information, treatment plans, and interventions in electronic health records.

9. Perform necessary diagnostic tests and procedures as directed by the healthcare team.

10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to infection control protocols.

11. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in critical care nursing through continuing education and professional development.

12. Support and mentor new staff members, including nurses, nursing assistants, and students.

13. Maintain a compassionate and patient-centered approach, ensuring a comforting and supportive environment for patients and their families.

14. Adhere to ethical, legal, and professional nursing standards at all times.

15. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement evidence-based practice guidelines.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.

2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

3. Certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) highly desirable.

4. Minimum of two years of ICU experience is required.

5. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.

6. Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with the healthcare team, patients, and families.

8. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.

9. Proficient in using electronic health records and healthcare technology.

10. Solid understanding of medical terminology, pharmacology, and current best practices in critical care nursing.
