Job Title: Labor and Delivery Nurse / Obstetrics RN

📌 Job Summary

The Labor and Delivery Nurse (Obstetrics RN) provides specialized nursing care to women during pregnancy, labor, childbirth, and the immediate postpartum period. This role focuses on ensuring the safety and well-being of both mother and baby while supporting families through the childbirth process.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

• Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs during labor
• Assist physicians and midwives during childbirth
• Administer medications, IVs, and epidurals as prescribed
• Support and guide patients through labor and delivery
• Provide immediate newborn care after birth
• Manage complications and respond to emergencies
• Educate mothers on postpartum care and newborn care
• Maintain accurate patient documentation
• Ensure adherence to safety and infection control protocols

🎓 Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) preferred

💼 Experience Required

• 1–3+ years of experience in Labor & Delivery / Obstetrics
• Experience in handling high-risk pregnancies preferred
