📌 Job Summary

The County Jail Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive healthcare services to inmates within a correctional facility. This role includes medical assessment, treatment, medication administration, and emergency response while ensuring compliance with correctional healthcare standards.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

Conduct initial health screenings and ongoing medical assessments for inmates
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid or life-saving care
Monitor and document patient health status and progress
Collaborate with physicians, mental health professionals, and correctional staff
Ensure compliance with correctional healthcare policies and procedures
Educate inmates on health conditions, medications, and preventive care
Maintain accurate and confidential medical records

🎓 Required Qualifications

Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
CPR/BLS Certification (required)
ACLS Certification (preferred)

💼 Experience Required

1–3+ years of nursing experience (correctional or emergency experience preferred)
