Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Polysomnographer to conduct sleep studies and assist in diagnosing sleep disorders. The role involves monitoring patients overnight, collecting physiological data, and working closely with physicians to support accurate diagnosis and treatment.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct overnight sleep studies (polysomnography) to monitor patients

Prepare patients and explain sleep study procedures

Apply and calibrate sensors and equipment (EEG, ECG, EMG, airflow, oxygen levels)

Monitor and record sleep patterns and physiological data

Identify abnormalities such as sleep apnea, insomnia, and other disorders

Score and analyze sleep study data according to AASM guidelines

Troubleshoot equipment issues during studies

Maintain accurate patient records and reports

Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and HIPAA regulations

Collaborate with sleep physicians and healthcare teams
Required Skills & Qualifications

Certification such as RPSGT (Registered Polysomnographic Technologist) preferred

Strong knowledge of sleep disorders and polysomnography techniques

Experience with sleep study equipment and software

Understanding of AASM scoring guidelines

Attention to detail and analytical skills

Good patient handling and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy, Sleep Technology, or related field

Prior experience in sleep labs or healthcare settings
