Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) House Supervisor
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) House Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operations and clinical activities within a healthcare facility. They work to ensure a safe and efficient environment for both patients and staff members.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Supervise nursing staff and ensure proper patient care
2. Coordinate and implement patient care plans
3. Monitor unit activities and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
4. Handle any emergencies or critical situations that may arise
5. Collaborate with medical staff, administration, and other healthcare professionals
6. Conduct staff evaluations and provide feedback for performance improvement
7. Manage staffing levels and make necessary adjustments to meet patient needs
8. Serve as a resource for nursing staff regarding clinical questions and concerns
9. Assist in providing education and training for staff members
10. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Active RN license in the state of practice
2. Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
3. Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
6. Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards
7. Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
8. BLS and ACLS certifications
9. Proficiency in electronic health record systems
10. Strong organizational and time management skills
