Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse
Job Summary:
As an Emergency Room Nurse, you will be responsible for providing quality patient care in a fast-paced and high-stress environment. You will assess patients, prioritize their needs, and collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to stabilize and treat patients in critical condition.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Triage and assess patients upon arrival to the emergency room
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patient vital signs and coordinate care with other healthcare providers
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide life-saving interventions
- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly
- Educate patients and families on their diagnosis and treatment plan
- Collaborate with doctors, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education programs
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency room or critical care setting
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification
- Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays
