Job Title: RN Med/Surg
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Med/Surg team. The RN Med/Surg will provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. This position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assess and evaluate patients' medical status and develop individualized care plans.
2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
3. Monitor and report changes in patients' conditions to medical staff.
4. Educate and support patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
5. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
7. Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
8. Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and families during challenging times.
9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care outcomes.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Current RN license in the state of employment.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical/surgical nursing.
3. BLS and ACLS certification.
4. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
7. Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
8. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
9. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
