The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Outpatient Cardiology Clinic provides specialized nursing care to patients with cardiovascular conditions. This role focuses on patient assessment, care coordination, education, and supporting cardiology procedures in a non-emergency, clinic-based setting.
Assess patient health status, including vital signs and cardiac symptoms
Assist cardiologists during diagnostic and minor procedures (ECG, stress tests)
Administer medications and monitor patient responses
Educate patients on heart health, medications, lifestyle changes, and disease management
Coordinate follow-up appointments, referrals, and diagnostic tests
Monitor chronic cardiac conditions such as hypertension, heart failure, and arrhythmias
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation (EMR systems)
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
Ensure compliance with clinic protocols and patient safety standards
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required)
2–4 years of nursing experience, preferably in cardiology or outpatient care
Strong knowledge of cardiovascular conditions and treatments
Patient education and counseling
Clinical assessment and monitoring
Communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Ability to work in a fast-paced clinic environment
Outpatient cardiology clinic / specialty care center
Day shifts, minimal emergency exposure
Patient-focused, collaborative environment
Experience with ECG, Holter monitoring, and stress testing
ACLS certification (preferred)
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
