Job Title: RN – Outpatient Float (Floor Nurse)

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) – Outpatient Float (Floor Nurse) provides flexible nursing support across multiple outpatient departments. This role involves delivering high-quality patient care, assisting clinical teams, and adapting quickly to different specialties and workflows within the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Float between outpatient clinics/departments based on staffing needs

• Perform patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and documentation

• Assist physicians and healthcare providers during examinations and procedures

• Administer medications, injections, and IV therapies as required

• Support patient flow, admissions, and discharges in outpatient settings

• Provide patient education on treatments, medications, and follow-ups

• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems

• Maintain infection control and safety standards

• Adapt to different clinical environments and patient care protocols

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across departments

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

• 2–5 years of nursing experience, preferably in outpatient or multi-specialty settings

• Experience working as a float nurse or in multiple specialties

• ACLS certification (preferred)

• Familiarity with EMR systems
