The Registered Nurse (RN) – Outpatient Float (Floor Nurse) provides flexible nursing support across multiple outpatient departments. This role involves delivering high-quality patient care, assisting clinical teams, and adapting quickly to different specialties and workflows within the facility.
Float between outpatient clinics/departments based on staffing needs
Perform patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and documentation
Assist physicians and healthcare providers during examinations and procedures
Administer medications, injections, and IV therapies as required
Support patient flow, admissions, and discharges in outpatient settings
Provide patient education on treatments, medications, and follow-ups
Ensure accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems
Maintain infection control and safety standards
Adapt to different clinical environments and patient care protocols
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across departments
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
2–5 years of nursing experience, preferably in outpatient or multi-specialty settings
Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills
Flexibility and adaptability across departments
Excellent communication and teamwork
Time management and multitasking abilities
Knowledge of outpatient procedures and workflows
Attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Outpatient clinics / ambulatory care centers
Dynamic and fast-paced environment
Day shifts with possible rotational coverage
Experience working as a float nurse or in multiple specialties
ACLS certification (preferred)
Familiarity with EMR systems
