The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the Immediate Care Center provides efficient, patient-focused care for individuals with non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries. This role supports physicians and RNs in delivering urgent medical services, ensuring timely assessment, treatment, and patient flow in a fast-paced environment.
Perform initial patient intake, vital signs, and basic health assessments
Assist providers with examinations and minor procedures
Administer medications, injections, and wound care as directed
Prepare patients for diagnostic tests (lab work, X-rays)
Monitor patient condition and report changes to RN/physician
Provide patient education on medications, care instructions, and follow-ups
Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems
Ensure infection control and safety protocols are followed
Manage patient flow and support efficient clinic operations
Diploma in Practical Nursing (LPN)
Active LPN license
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
1–3 years of clinical experience, preferably in urgent care or outpatient settings
Strong clinical and patient care skills
Ability to work in fast-paced urgent care environment
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Team collaboration and adaptability
