Job Title: Permanent Registered Nurse (RN) Med Surg
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Med Surg team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will provide quality patient care, collaborate with healthcare professionals, and assist in the management of medical-surgical conditions.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans
2. Administering medications and treatments
3. Monitoring and documenting patient vital signs and progress
4. Collaborating with physicians and healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
5. Educating patients and families on health management and treatment plans
6. Maintaining accurate medical records and documentation
7. Adhering to safety and quality standards in patient care
8. Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings and patient rounds
9. Providing emotional support and guidance to patients and families
10. Responding to emergencies and providing appropriate interventions
11. Participating in ongoing education and training opportunities
12. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
13. Adhering to hospital policies and procedures
14. Demonstrating professionalism and empathy in all interactions with patients and colleagues
15. Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and standards of practice
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice
2. BLS certification
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical-surgical nursing
4. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
5. Strong clinical and critical thinking skills
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
7. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
8. Flexibility to work various shifts and weekends
9. Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively
10. Knowledge of electronic medical records systems
11. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
12. Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care
13. Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
