Job Title: Registered Nurse - ICU
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse - ICU is responsible for providing specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). They must monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications, collaborate with healthcare team members, and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitor and assess patient vital signs and conditions in the ICU
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Collaborate with physicians, other healthcare professionals, and family members to develop and implement patient care plans
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures to ensure the highest level of patient care
- Stay current on advancements in critical care nursing practices and technologies
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
