Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in wound care to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, treating, and managing patients with various types of wounds to promote healing and prevent infection. This role requires excellent clinical skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of wound care best practices.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' wounds to determine the appropriate treatment plan
- Clean and dress wounds using sterile techniques
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and their families on proper wound care techniques
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in wound care treatments and technologies
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid Registered Nurse license
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Certification in wound care (CWOCN or WCC) highly desirable
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in wound care nursing
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
