Job Title: Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with various medical and surgical conditions. This role requires strong clinical skills, critical thinking abilities, and excellent communication skills to ensure the highest level of patient care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to develop individualized patient care plans.
2. Monitor patients' vital signs and condition, and provide timely interventions as needed.
3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
4. Educate patients and their families about their medical conditions and treatment plans.
5. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
6. Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
7. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
8. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during challenging times.
9. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
10. Stay current on medical advancements and best practices in Medical Surgical nursing.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical Surgical setting.
3. BLS and ACLS certification.
4. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
7. Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
