Job title: Registered Nurse - Cath Lab
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse in the Cath Lab, you will be responsible for providing care to patients undergoing cardiac procedures and interventions. You will work closely with physicians, technologists, and other healthcare team members to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist with cardiac catheterization procedures
2. Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures
3. Administer medications as ordered by physicians
4. Provide patient education and emotional support
5. Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
6. Maintain accurate and complete patient records
7. Participate in quality improvement initiatives
8. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures
9. Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff
Qualifications and Skills:
- Registered Nurse license in the state of practice
- BLS and ACLS certification
- At least 2 years of experience in a cardiac cath lab setting
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
