Job Title: Registered Nurse - CVICU
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care to individuals with complex cardiac conditions, including post-operative care for patients who have undergone heart surgeries.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitor and assess patients' cardiac status and vital signs
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Monitor and adjust life support equipment as needed
- Educate patients and their families on health management and post-discharge care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a critical care setting, preferably in a CVICU
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
