Job Title: Certified Surgical First Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Surgical First Assistant to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate will assist the surgeon during surgical procedures, ensuring optimal patient care and outcomes. The Certified Surgical First Assistant will be responsible for providing support in the operating room, including prepping patients, assisting with surgical instruments, and maintaining a sterile environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist the surgeon during surgical procedures
- Prepare and position patients for surgery
- Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room
- Hand surgical instruments to the surgeon as needed
- Suture incisions and apply dressings
- Communicate effectively with the surgical team
- Ensure all equipment is properly sterilized and maintained
- Provide post-operative care to patients
Qualifications and Skills:
- Certification as a Surgical First Assistant
- Previous experience in surgical assisting preferred
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
