Job Title: Registered Nurse ICU RN (Intensive Care)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse Intensive Care Unit (ICU RN) to join our healthcare team. As an ICU RN, you will be responsible for providing specialized care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care, monitor patient conditions, administer medications, perform diagnostic tests, and implement treatment plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes in the ICU setting.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in the ICU setting
- Managing and monitoring critically ill patients, including those on life support, and ensuring proper interventions are implemented promptly
- Collaborating with physicians, surgeons, and other members of the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administering medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed and monitoring their effectiveness
- Assisting in medical procedures and surgeries as required
- Monitoring and interpreting vital signs, lab values, and diagnostic test results
- Providing emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding their condition and treatment options
- Documenting patient care activities and maintaining accurate medical records
- Adhering to infection control policies and protocols to ensure a safe and sterile environment
- Participating in ongoing professional development activities and staying updated with the latest advancements in ICU nursing practice
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in [state]
- Proven experience working in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
