Job Summary:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will provide compassionate care and assistance to patients in healthcare facilities such as hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. Your main responsibility will be to support patients with their daily activities and ensure their physical and emotional well-being.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assisting patients with personal hygiene tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and toileting.
2. Monitoring and recording vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature.
3. Assisting patients with mobility and ambulation.
4. Providing emotional support and companionship to patients.
5. Helping patients with meal preparation and feeding.
6. Changing bedding and helping with light housekeeping tasks.
7. Reporting any changes in patients' condition to the nursing staff.
8. Following proper infection control procedures.
9. Adhering to all healthcare regulations and policies.
10. Collaborating with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care to patients.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. High school diploma or GED.
2. Completion of a state-approved CNA training program.
3. Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA).
4. Good communication skills.
5. Compassionate and empathetic attitude.
6. Ability to work well in a team environment.
7. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
8. Physical stamina to lift and move patients.
9. Ability to follow instructions and protocols.
10. Basic medical knowledge and understanding of patient care.
