Job Title: Registered Nurse, Psychiatric Geriatric
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse specializing in psychiatric geriatric care to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will provide quality nursing care to elderly patients with mental health issues and will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of geriatric patients with psychiatric disorders
2. Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with doctors, therapists, and other healthcare providers
3. Administer medications and monitor patient responses
4. Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families
5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
6. Educate patients and their families on mental health issues and treatment options
7. Monitor and evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
8. Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in psychiatric geriatric nursing
- Certification in psychiatric nursing preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
