Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Progressive Care
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) Progressive Care will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to patients with complex medical conditions, under the supervision of the nursing supervisor. The incumbent will be working in a fast-paced environment, caring for patients who require ongoing monitoring, medication, and interventions.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide nursing care to patients with complex medical conditions in the Progressive Care Unit
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, assist with procedures, and manage patient care plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans, and provide education to patients and their families
- Monitor cardiac telemetry and intervene appropriately to ensure patient safety
- Respond to patient, family, and physician concerns and requests in a professional and timely manner
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
- Follow infection control policies, HIPAA regulations, and other organizational policies and procedures
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Massachusetts
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in acute care, with experience in progressive care preferred
- Must possess a BSN degree; MSN preferred
- BLS and ACLS certifications are required
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
