Job Title: Registered Nurse Med Surg, Progressive Care (PCU)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team here in Alpena, MI. As a Registered Nurse in our Med Surg and PCU departments, you will provide quality care to patients with acute and chronic illnesses, critical diagnoses, and various complexities. You will be responsible for monitoring and providing necessary care to all patients in the department.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any abnormalities to physicians
- Assess and evaluate patients' conditions and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team
- Monitor and perform interventions for patients with complex medical conditions
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and case management
Qualifications and Skills:
- Active Michigan RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Med Surg and/or PCU
- Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
