Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) First Assist
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse (RN) First Assist, you will work alongside surgeons in the operating room, providing direct patient care and assisting with surgical procedures. You will ensure the safety and well-being of the patient before, during, and after surgery, while also serving as a vital member of the surgical team.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients
- Assist surgeons during surgical procedures by passing instruments, suturing incisions, and providing surgical support
- Monitor patients' vital signs and assist with anesthesia administration
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a safe and sterile environment in the operating room
- Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and recovery
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current RN licensure
- Certification as a Certified Nurse First Assistant (CNFA) preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols and procedures
