Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery (L&D)
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor & Delivery, you will be responsible for providing care and support to women during childbirth. You will work closely with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a safe and positive delivery experience for both mother and baby.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Monitor the progress of labor and assess the condition of both mother and baby
2. Administer medications and pain relief as needed
3. Assist with labor induction and augmentation
4. Provide emotional support and guidance to mothers and their families
5. Monitor fetal heart rates and notify doctors of any concerns
6. Perform postpartum assessments and provide education on newborn care
7. Assist with cesarean sections and other surgical procedures as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license and BSN degree
2. Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
5. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
6. Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
7. Previous experience in labor and delivery preferred
