Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Med Surg
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Med Surg team. The RN will be responsible for providing quality patient care in a medical-surgical setting, assessing patient health needs, implementing care plans, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assessing patient health needs and developing individualized care plans
2. Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
3. Monitoring patient vital signs and condition
4. Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care
5. Educating patients and their families on medical conditions and treatments
6. Documenting patient care in electronic medical records
7. Providing emotional support and encouragement to patients and their families
8. Adhering to all hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and confidentiality
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a med surg setting
3. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
6. BLS certification
7. ACLS certification preferred
8. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
