Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room (ER)
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Room (ER) is responsible for providing critical care to patients in emergency situations. They assess patients, administer medication, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assess and prioritize patient needs in emergency situations
- Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and record vital signs and patient progress
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to create and implement care plans
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-care instructions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Assist with emergency procedures and surgeries as needed
- Provide emotional support to patients and families during stressful situations
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- At least 2 years of experience in an emergency room setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and make quick decisions
- Attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
