Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room RN
Job Summary:
As an Operating Room RN, you will be responsible for providing care to patients before, during, and after surgery. You will work alongside surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of patients undergoing surgical procedures.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Preparing patients for surgery by taking vital signs, administering medications, and answering any questions they may have.
2. Assisting surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, monitoring patients' vital signs, and maintaining a sterile surgical environment.
3. Monitoring patients' recovery after surgery and providing post-operative care as needed.
4. Collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
5. Educating patients and their families on post-operative care instructions and medications.
6. Documenting patient care and maintaining accurate medical records.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license and BLS certification.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an Operating Room RN.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions.
5. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
6. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
