Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room (ER)
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room, you will be responsible for providing quality patient care in a fast-paced and high-stress environment. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the ER, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients in critical situations.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Triaging patients and determining the urgency of their conditions
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitoring and evaluating patient responses to interventions
- Performing emergency procedures such as intubation, CPR, and wound care
- Providing emotional support and education to patients and their families
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Adhering to all hospital policies and procedures
- Participating in continuing education and professional development activities
- Ensuring a safe and clean environment for patients and staff
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care setting, preferably in the ER
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a high-stress environment
- Proficiency in electronic medical records systems
