Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Cath Lab RN
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) - Cath Lab RN will be responsible for providing care to patients undergoing various cardiac procedures in the catheterization lab. They will assist the medical team in performing catheterization procedures, monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, and ensure the safety and well-being of patients throughout their time in the cath lab.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assessing patients before and after catheterization procedures
2. Monitoring patients' vital signs during procedures
3. Administering medications as directed by the physician
4. Assisting the medical team with catheterization procedures
5. Providing patient education on post-procedure care and medications
6. Documenting patient care and treatment accurately
7. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient outcomes
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Current RN license in the state of practice
2. BLS and ACLS certification
3. Experience working in a cardiac cath lab or critical care setting
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
6. Attention to detail and excellent critical thinking skills
