Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting healthcare professionals in delivering quality patient care. The CMA will perform various clinical and administrative tasks to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operation of the medical office.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist healthcare providers in performing patient assessments and examinations
- Record patient medical history and vital signs accurately
- Provide patient education and instructions as directed by healthcare providers
- Administer medications and injections as ordered by healthcare providers
- Perform phlebotomy and collect lab specimens for testing
- Maintain medical supplies and equipment in the examination rooms
- Assist with scheduling patient appointments and coordinating referrals
- Ensure compliance with infection control and HIPAA regulations
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a certified medical assistant program
- Current certification as a CMA
- CPR certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
