Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Labor & Delivery (L&D)
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse (RN) in Labor & Delivery (L&D), you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to expectant mothers and their newborn babies during the labor and delivery process. You will work closely with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of both mother and baby.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Monitor and assess the progress of labor
2. Administer medications and pain relief as needed
3. Assist with delivery, including cesarean sections
4. Provide emotional support to mothers and families
5. Care for newborn babies, including monitoring vital signs and providing newborn care
6. Educate mothers on postpartum care and newborn care
7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license
2. BSN or higher degree in nursing
3. Previous experience in labor and delivery preferred
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
6. BLS and ACLS certification
7. Knowledge of obstetric and neonatal nursing care
