Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Special Procedures
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse specializing in Special Procedures, you will be responsible for assisting in various medical procedures that require specialized knowledge and skills. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of patients undergoing these procedures. Your expertise and attention to detail will be crucial in providing high-quality care to patients in need of specialized medical interventions.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist physicians during special procedures such as endoscopies, angioplasties, and interventional radiology procedures.
2. Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures to ensure their safety and comfort.
3. Administer medications and provide post-procedure care as needed.
4. Document patient care and treatment plans accurately and efficiently.
5. Educate patients and their families on post-procedure care and follow-up instructions.
6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
7. Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and best practices in special procedures nursing.
8. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote patient safety.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Active RN license in the state of practice.
2. At least 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a special procedures unit.
3. BLS certification required, ACLS certification preferred.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
6. Attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
7. Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
8. Knowledge of special procedures nursing practices and protocols.
9. Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
