Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) IMCU
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU), you will be responsible for providing high-quality and compassionate patient care to individuals who require intermediate level medical treatment. You will work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and support patients and their families through their healthcare journey.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Monitor and assess patient conditions, vital signs, and response to treatment.
2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the healthcare provider.
3. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
4. Educate patients and their families on their medical conditions, treatment options, and follow-up care.
5. Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and their families during challenging times.
6. Document patient care activities and maintain accurate medical records.
7. Respond to emergency situations and provide immediate medical intervention.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice.
2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
3. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
4. Minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care setting, preferably in an IMCU or critical care unit.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
7. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
