Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Behavioral Health
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse specializing in Behavioral Health, you will be responsible for providing care and support to patients with mental health disorders and substance abuse issues. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and treat patients in a therapeutic environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients' mental health and substance abuse issues
- Developing and implementing individualized care plans
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitoring and evaluating patients' progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed
- Providing education and counseling to patients and their families
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care for patients
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current RN licensure in the state of practice
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in behavioral health nursing
- BLS certification
- Strong assessment and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Knowledge of mental health disorders and substance abuse treatment modalities
