Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Oncology
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Oncology team. The RN will be responsible for providing specialized care to patients with cancer, administering treatments, monitoring side effects, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide direct patient care, including administering chemotherapy, monitoring vital signs, and managing symptoms
- Educate patients and families on treatment options, side effects, and self-care strategies
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research projects to improve patient care and outcomes
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Nursing
- Certification in Oncology Nursing (ONS or equivalent) preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in oncology nursing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
